Several years ago I got pretty sick and lost most of my muscle mass. I went from being a year-round athlete to barely being able to stand.
When I got better, a fire was lit inside of me that drove me to workout over an hour most days. I regained my muscles and was proud of myself and my body for what I’d accomplished.
Unfortunately as time went on, the fire dwindled and other things became a priority. I lost a lot of the muscle I’d worked for.
On various occasions I wished and wondered what progress I could have made, had I stayed consistent for several years, rather than only one year.
I spent years working out here and there, mostly only over the summer when it physically “mattered most”, but deep down wishing I could be consistent. I’d tell myself, “This year I’ll workout all winter”, but wouldn’t.
I made promises to myself that I didn’t keep. I ended up just “knowing” I couldn’t workout all winter.
Have you told yourself the same promise so many times you roll your eyes at it before you even finish thinking it?
I wanted to change, and I didn’t know this at the time, but I couldn’t do it on my own anymore.
That’s when I saw a comment about online coaching and I knew I needed that accountability to reach the consistency I’d been dreaming of for years.
